WorldRemit UAE Fees & Limits (2026)
How WorldRemit prices UAE-outbound transfers, delivery methods per corridor, and where to see the exact number.
WorldRemit is a London-based remittance service with strong corridor coverage across Asia, Africa and Latin America. In the UAE, it competes head-to-head with Remitly for Filipino, Indian and Pakistani senders. Its main draw is delivery flexibility: bank, cash pickup, mobile wallet, all inside one app.
The short answer on fees
Like every other honest guide, we can't tell you the exact fee for AED 1,000 → PHP because it isn't a static number. WorldRemit prices dynamically based on:
- The exact AED amount.
- The delivery method (bank deposit vs cash pickup vs GCash).
- The funding method (debit card, credit card, bank transfer).
- The corridor and any active promotions.
That number is displayed in the WorldRemit app on the transfer review screen, before you confirm. It's the only figure that actually applies to your specific transfer, and it's the number you should be comparing across other apps.
How WorldRemit's pricing model works
Two components:
- A flat AED fee. It can be zero on some corridors, particularly on cash-pickup deliveries in the Philippines and Pakistan.
- An exchange-rate margin against the mid-market rate. This is where most of the cost lives on larger transfers.
Both are visible in the app. The recipient amount you see is the single figure that captures both.
Delivery methods per corridor (UAE side)
- Philippines: bank deposit, cash pickup, GCash.
- India: bank deposit, UPI.
- Pakistan: bank deposit, cash pickup.
For UAE → Philippines, the mobile-wallet corridor (GCash) is often the sweetest spot on WorldRemit — near-instant delivery, low fees. For UAE → India, UPI is essentially instant and usually cheap. For UAE → Pakistan, cash pickup wins on speed but may cost more than a bank deposit.
Speed
WorldRemit is not marketed as an Express/Economy split like Remitly. Instead:
- Bank deposit: minutes to same-day for most banks; occasionally next-business-day for smaller institutions.
- Cash pickup: available within minutes of the tx being paid — recipient can walk into an agent right away.
- GCash / UPI: usually within minutes.
Limits
WorldRemit publishes limits by corridor in its FAQ, and they depend on the level of KYC you've completed. Small first transfers may be capped until you upload additional documents; senders with a fully verified profile have much higher allowances. This is standard AML behaviour — the same rules apply at Remitly, Wise and Al Ansari.
If a transfer bounces off a limit inside the app, WorldRemit tells you what's needed to lift it. Usually another verification screen with your Emirates ID.
Payment methods (UAE funding side)
- Debit card (Visa / Mastercard) — instant.
- Credit card — may attract a card-processing fee inside WorldRemit and a cash-advance charge from your bank; check both.
- UAE bank transfer — cheaper than card, usually slightly slower on the funding side (a few hours).
How to actually compare WorldRemit vs a competitor
One habit, every time:
- Type your exact AED amount into WorldRemit. Note the recipient number.
- Open Remitly (or Wise, or Al Ansari's app). Enter the same amount, same delivery method. Note the recipient number.
- Send with whichever is bigger.
Numbers change daily. Any app-vs-app 'winner' verdict on the internet is stale by the time you read it. Your own two-minute check is always the freshest data.
Where WorldRemit is unusually competitive
- GCash payouts to the Philippines — often at or below the corridor average.
- Cash-pickup delivery to Pakistan — one of the wider partner networks.
- First-transfer promos — WorldRemit sometimes waives its own fee for new senders. Same caveat as Remitly's welcome offer: the second transfer is the true benchmark.
Where WorldRemit is not the best pick
- Bank-to-bank transfers where Wise's transparent mid-market rate wins on large amounts.
- Payday walk-in transfers where Al Ansari or LuLu is running a zero-fee promo.
Bottom line
WorldRemit is a strong all-round remittance option from the UAE, particularly on mobile-wallet corridors. Its pricing is not the most transparent of the fintech pack, but it's competitive and it's always visible before you press Send. Install it, keep it alongside Remitly, and compare the recipient amount on every transfer — that's the two-minute habit that lands the best rate on any given day.

FAQ
What's the flat fee for AED 1,000 → PHP on WorldRemit?
There is no single flat number. WorldRemit prices each transfer separately based on the delivery method, corridor, amount and funding method. The exact fee and rate for your specific transfer are shown in the app before you press Send. We deliberately don't publish a guessed number here.
Does WorldRemit send to GCash?
Yes. WorldRemit supports bank deposit, cash pickup and GCash for UAE → Philippines. The mobile-wallet option is usually faster and cheaper than a bank deposit.
Are there daily or monthly send limits?
Yes — WorldRemit publishes limits by corridor and delivery method in its FAQ. Limits also depend on the level of KYC verification you've completed. Larger transfers may require additional documentation.
Can I pay in cash at a branch?
No. WorldRemit is fully digital in the UAE. Funding is by debit or credit card, or by bank transfer from a UAE bank.
Rates and fees change daily. Always check the final amount in the provider's app before sending. Last updated: 2026-09-24.
